1. Packaging
1. Internal protection
Use waterproof and moisture-proof plastic film to tightly wrap each titanium tube to ensure that the surface of the titanium tube is completely covered to prevent moisture from directly contacting the titanium tube.
For bundled titanium tubes, a desiccant bag, such as silica gel desiccant, can be placed in the middle before bundling. The desiccant can absorb moisture in the package and maintain a dry environment. Grade 12 Titanium Tube / Titanium Alloy Seamless Rectangular Tube / titanium heat exchanger tubing
2. External packaging
Wrap the outer layer of the titanium tube with thick canvas or special waterproof plastic cloth with waterproof function. These materials can effectively prevent rainwater from penetrating.
Place the wrapped titanium tube in a wooden box or iron box with good sealing performance. The gap in the box can be sealed with waterproof tape to further improve the moisture-proof performance.
2. Transport vehicle preparation
1. Carriage inspection
Choose a transport vehicle with a intact carriage without leaks. Before loading, carefully check whether there are damages, cracks, etc. on the bottom, sides and top of the carriage that may cause water ingress. If there are any, repair them in time.
Lay a layer of waterproof tarpaulin inside the carriage, which should cover the entire bottom and surrounding parts of the carriage, and ensure that the edge of the tarpaulin is turned up to a certain height to form a tray-like structure to prevent rainwater from seeping in from the bottom or side of the carriage.
2. Tarpaulin Covering
Use a high-quality, waterproof tarpaulin to cover the top of the carriage loaded with titanium tubes. The size of the tarpaulin should be large enough to cover the entire carriage, and it should droop a certain length around to ensure that rainwater can flow away smoothly without seeping into the carriage.
When fixing the tarpaulin, ensure that it is tight. Use ropes or special tarpaulin fixing clips to firmly fix the tarpaulin on the carriage to prevent the tarpaulin from being blown away by the wind during transportation.
3. During transportation
1. Pay attention to the weather
Pay close attention to the weather forecast before and during transportation, plan the transportation route in advance, and try to avoid areas with severe weather such as heavy rain.
If it is about to rain during transportation, find a safe place to stop in time, check whether the tarpaulin and other waterproof measures are in place, and reinforce them if necessary.
2. Temporary shelter from rain
When encountering sudden rainstorms, if there is a suitable parking lot, warehouse or other place to shelter from rain nearby, drive the vehicle in as soon as possible to take shelter from rain, and wait for the rain to subside before continuing transportation.
During the temporary shelter from rain, check whether there is any sign of water ingress in the titanium tube packaging. If water ingress is found, take timely measures to deal with it, such as replacing packaging materials.
Titanium tubes are an important industrial material and often need to be transported over long distances. During transportation, it is very important to prevent rain and moisture from corroding titanium tubes. Therefore, during transportation, regularly check whether the packaging of titanium tubes is intact and whether there are any signs of corrosion due to moisture. Once a problem is found, take timely measures to avoid further damage.
