First, how to distinguish aluminum alloy and titanium alloy?
1. If you have two pieces of material on hand, one is aluminum and the other is titanium alloy, as long as the two pieces of material scratch each other, the scratched piece is aluminum, because titanium is harder than aluminum.
2. Compared with acid resistance, aluminum reacts immediately when it encounters acid, and titanium has good acid resistance.
3. Measure the weight. Aluminum doors of the same size are the lightest, titanium doors are slightly heavier, and steel doors are the heaviest. However, if the manufacturer intends to deceive people, they can use a mixture of aluminum and steel to make a door as heavy as titanium alloy. It's easy to tell if there's steel in the door though. Get a magnet and see if it sticks to the door. titanium alloy pipes are not magnetic and will not attract magnets.
4. Look at the color. Find an inconspicuous small corner, and use sandpaper to remove a layer of oxide film or paint on the surface to fully expose the underlying metal. Then look closely at the color of the metal. Take an empty coke can (aluminum) and sand off the paint on the surface to compare to the door. Aluminum alloys are light gray, titanium alloys are dark gray, and look more shiny than aluminum.
5. If possible, you can also measure resistance. The resistance of titanium alloy is much larger than that of aluminum alloy.
Second, what are the characteristics of aluminum alloy and titanium alloy?
Titanium alloy features: The alloy composed of titanium as the base and other alloying elements is called titanium alloy. Titanium alloy has the advantages of low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance and good process performance, and is an ideal structural material for aerospace engineering.
Research scope: Titanium alloys can be divided into structural titanium alloys and heat-resistant titanium alloys, or α-type titanium alloys, β-type titanium alloys and α+β-type titanium alloys. The research scope also includes forming technology of titanium alloy, powder metallurgy technology, rapid solidification technology, military and civilian use of titanium alloy, etc.
Aluminum alloy features: Aluminum alloy is made of pure aluminum with some alloying elements, such as aluminum-manganese alloy, aluminum-copper alloy, aluminum-copper-magnesium hard aluminum alloy, aluminum-zinc-magnesium-copper superhard aluminum alloy .
Aluminum alloy has better physical and mechanical properties than pure aluminum: easy processing, high durability, wide application range, good decorative effect, and rich colors. Aluminum alloys are divided into anti-rust aluminum, duralumin, super duralumin and other types, each type has its own range of use, and has its own code for users to choose.
